CHARGES SENT TO COUNTY COURT Two D.U.L. defendants waived their rights to preliminary hear- ings Sept. 26. e Swoyersville resident Irving Tattersall, 32, was arrested July 22 by Dallas Borough patrolman James Drury after police observed him driving erratically on Rte. 309. A few minutes before he saw Tattersall's vehicle, Drury had received a radio message to be on the lookout for avehicle matching the description and having a simi- lar plate number to Tattersall's car, containing four males who had been in a fight at a Harveys Lake bar. After failing field sobriety tests, Tattersall took a blood test which showed his blood alcohol level to be .161, more than the legal limit of .10. He was also cited for using a suspected fictitious or altered driver's license and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He also waived his right to legal counsel. e Shawanese resident Christo- pher Santee, 20, was arrested July 28 by Lehman Twp, patrolman Benjamin Bigus after being in- volved in a one-vehicle accident on Rte. 29. After failing field sobriety tests, Santee refused to take a blood alcohol test, which under state law results in the automatic sus- pension of one's driver's license for a year.
