HARVEYS LAKE CRIME WATCH Pictured is Brian Lane Green as Joseph with the company in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” 'Joseph' coming to Cultural Center Andrew Lloyd Webber's new production of “Jo- seph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will make its Northeastern Pennsylvania premiere at the Scranton Cultural Center for eight perfor- mances Oct. 8 through 13. The production is being presented by Manuel Levine in association with the Broadway Theater League. Levine brought “Cats” to the Cultural Center last February, which set a house record for ticket sales. “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” opened on Broadway at the Minskolf Theater on Nov. 10, 1993. The play is a joyous musical retelling of the Biblical story of Joseph and his 11 brothers at the time of the Pharaoh. The score blends popular song with varied styles such as country and western, Calypso, French chanson and 50s and 60s rock ‘n roll. “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” is written by the phenomenally suc- cessful team of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. In addition to “Joseph,” Lloyd Webber and Rice are responsible for “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Evita.” Tickets to “Joseph” are now on sale and can be purchased by calling 344-1111, or by visiting the Scranton Cultural Center box office.
