Miscavage named alumni director at Misericordia Lehman resident Denise Miscavage has been named direc- tor of alumni relations at College Misericordia. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in French from Tufts Uni- versity, a master of arts degree in English from Lehigh University, and completed an undergraduate English major at Misericordia. Regional Cancer Institute Ellen Nagy recently joined the staff of the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute (NRCI) as its pro- gram director. Her duties will include planning and implement- ing NRCI special projects and com- mittees for cancer education and screening programs, and cancer support groups to benefit patients, physicians and the general pub- lic. Nagy is a graduate of Mansfield University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in En- glish. She also has done post- graduate work at Mansfield Uni- versity, Pennsylvania State Uni- versity, King's College and Wilkes University. Prior to her employment at NRCI she was director of community relations for the Visiting Nurse Association, Wilkes-Barre. Faux on USS Enterprise Navy Airman Donald R. Faux, son of Donald E. and Christine A. Faux, RR 3, Dallas, has departed on a six-month de- ployment aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise. Faux is one of more than 5,500 sailors and marines aboard the carrier who de- parted its homeport in Norfolk, VA., in support of the NATO-peace efforts in the Mediterranean and Adriatic Sea. The USS Enterprise Battle Group in- cludes more than 13,000 personnel, eight tactical aircraft squadrons and nine addi- tional ships and submarines armed with Tomahawk cruise missiles. The 1994 graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School joined the Navy in Au- gust 1995. Roberts completes basic Navy Seaman Recruit Robert O. Rob- erts, a 1995 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Com- mand, Great Lakes, IL.
