Bell, 93, of Lincoln Drive, Shavertown, Kingston Township, died Aug. 6, 1996, in the Department of Veterans Affair Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre. Born inJamestown, NY, he was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He served for 27 years with the U.S. Army and three years in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a carpenter for 17 years at the Ruckno Construc- tion Co., Forty Fort. He was a member of the Ameri- can Legion Post 672, Dallas, where he served as sergeant-at-arms emeritus and was a former vice commander. He also was a mem- ber of the Dallas Senior Citizens and Dallas United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Anna Tkacik; second wife, the former Gertrude Armitage.
