Born in Bear Creek Township, he was the son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Honey Shillabeer. He was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Wikes-Barre. He received a bachelor of science de- gree [rom the State University of New York, Rochester and his mas- ter of divinity degree from Crozer Theological Seminary, Rochester. Following his ordination, he served as pastor of the Meade Street Baptist Church. Wilkes- Barre. for several. years. He be- came associated with the Wyo- ming Conference of the United Methodist Church and served pas- torates at Mount Vision and New Berlin, NY. and in Athens and Trucksville. He was assisting pastor at Christ United Methodist Church, Mountaintop, for many years. He recently retired due to ill health. He was chairman of conference sessions [or the Wyoming Annual Conference and was a member of the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry and chairman of the Wilkes-Barre District Committee on Ordained Ministry. He and his wife, the former Phyllis Baldrica, would have cel- ebrated their 44th wedding anni- versary later this year. He was preceded in death by a brother. William J.
