Born Oct. 13, 1912, in Ply- mouth, he was the son of the late Peter and Kathryn Mazur Zbick. He resided in Jackson Town- ship most of his life and was em- ployed by East Falls Sand & Gravel Co. for 30 years before retiring 20 years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 101st Airborne Glider Division. He received the Bronze Star for outstanding service in Normandy, Holland and Bastogne, Belgium. After serving for 20 years, he re- tired as a sergeant first class from the 300th Field Hospital Reserve, Wilkes-Barre in 1972. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, Lehman Township. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Elizabeth Kraynak; brothers, Louis, Joseph and John; a sister, Mary Zbick.
