Guest speakers discussed their work, the education needed and the potential opportunities in their fields. Guest speakers were State Senator Lemmond; Ms. Olszewski; TV newscaster Andy Mehalshick; attorney Megan Kennedy; Patricia Gallagher, chiropractor, Dr. John Alaimo; Dallas Post publisher Ron Bartizek; architect Carl Handman; Pennsylvania State Trooper Holly Kaehn; pschologist Dr. Mark Sowcik; John Wolensky. Selenski, the daughter of Ms. Charlotte Selenski of Harveys Lake, is a Levi Sprague Fellow, received the Davenport Scholarship and the Principal's Leadership Award in her senior year, and received the Charlene Chung Award in her jun- jor year. She has received the Hugh O'Brian Youth Award, was honored as state finalist and na- tional finalist in the National His- tory Day contest, and was a semi- finalist in the British-American Poetry Contest. Selenski is a member of the varsity cross-country team, serv- ing as its captain for her junior and senior year, and was the recipient Area students CAROLYN SELENSKI of the Most Valuable Player award for cross-country in her junior year. Kimberly, a 7th grade honors student at Gate of Heaven, Dallas, is also active in the school orches- tra, Junior Choir and girls basket- ball.
