Letter carriers to hold food drive May 11 On May 11, the National Association of Letier Carriers (NALC) will host a food drive. Residents may just place non-perishable food items in a bag by their mailbox early in the morning on May 11 and letter carriers will pick them up and deliver to a nearby food bank. All the donated food stays local. NALC Branch 115 & 162 are coordinating the drive in cooperation with the U.S. Postal Service, United Way of Wyoming Valley, Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO) and the Greater Wilkes-Barre Labor Council. Residential postal customers in the Wyoming Valley area who receive a special [lyer in the mail this week are requested to participate.
