Carmon, 75, of Mallery Place, Wilkes-Barre, died May 3, 1996 in the Hershey Medical Cen- ter, Hershey, following injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collison on April 23, 1996 in Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Clarence County, May 7, 1920, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Susan Palinskas Kadar. She was a gradu- ate of Detroit Public Schools, De- troit, Mich. During World War II she was employed by the United Auto Workers Union in the De- troil area. Later she was employed by the Social Security Administration at the Wilkes-Barre offices and by Black Lung and the American Heart Association. She was mar- ried to Raymond R. Carmon from 1942 to 1969. She was preceded in death by a brother Frank Kadar. Surviving are a daughter, Su- san B. Carmon, Annandale, VA; son, Mark R. Carmon, Lake Twp. The funeral will be held at the convenience of the family from the Luther M. Kniffen Funeral Home, In. 465 S. Main St., Wilkes- Barre. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp. MARION SACKINGER Marion Conner Sackinger, 86, of Maple Hill Manor, Lehman Township, and formerly of North Main Street, Shavertown, Kingston Township, died May 3, 1996, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born May 29, 1903, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Catherine M. Bueg Kennedy. She resided in Baltimore, Los Angeles, Streator. IL; and Shavertown before moving to Maple Hill Manor, six months ago. She was a member of Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Harveys Lake. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edmond J. Connor; second husband, Leo W. Sackinger; son, James F. Conner; stepson, Wallace Sackinger; 15 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her sons, Edmond J., Lloyd R., William E., Lawrence V., David E. and Daniel P. Conner; daughters, Adella Pasta, Shirley A. Forrest and Janice Bregman; stepsons, Michael and Willis Sackinger; stepdaughter, Fernetta Barrientos; 25 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren. Interment, Maple Grove Cem- etery, Pikes Creek. ETHEL KALETA Ethel Kaleta, 91, died May 4, 1996 at the Kingston Healthcare Center, Inc., Kingston, where she has been a guest for the last two years. She was born in Pittston, Feb. 14, 1905 and was the daughter of the late Conrad and Ellen Sweeney Moss. She resided in Hughestown for 35 years and Kingston Twp., for most of her life. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church, Carverton. Her husband, Stanley Kaleta died in 1965. She was also pre- ceded in death by an infant son; brothers, Peter Moss, Donald Moss and Frank Moss. Surviving are a son, Robert S. Kaleta, Harveys Lake; 1 step grandson; 2 step great-grandchil- dren; nieces and nephews. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. DOROTHY BRYANT Dorothy E. Cummins, 73, of Florala, AL, formerly of Kunkle, died April 16, 1996, in the Flow- ers Hospital, Dothan, AL. Born Sept. ‘13, 1932, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late James and Nellie -Murphy Fenimore. She was educated in St. John's and St. Theresa's Parochial Schools and Elmer L. Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre. She formerly resided in Kunkle and Dallas before retiring to Florala. She was an active member of the Dallas Junior Women's Cho- ral as well as being a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. While in Spring Hill, FL, she was active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and brought water safety education programs to the public school system. She was a member of the Trin- ity Presbyterian Church, Dallas. She and her husband, Col. O.L. Cummins, U.S. Air Force retired, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in December 1995. Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Georgann (Jody) Kostenbauder, Tunkhannock; Patricia Lynn Fletcher, Spring Hill; a son, James Paul Kostenbauder, Colorado; a stepson, Dwight E. Cummins, Lancaster; 10 grandchildren. Memorial services willbe 1 p.m. May 19 in the Memorial Presbyte- rian Church, 29 W. North St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. An- drew Pillarella officiating. Interment, St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Hanover Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. JONATHAN WALSKI Jonathan David Walski, 3, Sweet Valley, Ross Township, died May 1, 1996, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of David W. and Lisa J. Evans Walski. He resided in Sweet Valley all his life and was a member of the Sweet Valley Church of Christ and its “Christ in Action Clubs.” Surviving in addition to his parents are his sister, Colleen Walski at home; brother Jordan Walski at home; paternal grand-. parents Walter and Bonnie Walski of Swoyersville; maternal grand- parents, Lewis and Louise Evans of Sweet Valley; paternal greai- grandparents, Chester and Mary Walski of Swoyersville; Charles and Bernadette Brohawn of Balti- more; aunts and uncles. Born in Lehman Township, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth Partington Booth. She was a resident of Jackson Township lor the past 71 years. Before retiring, she was em- ployed as a cafeteria worker by the Lake-Lehman School District. She was a member of the Jack- son United Methodist Church and its Birthday Club. She was also a member of the Dallas Chapter 396 Order of East- ern Star and the Jackson Town- ship Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis S. Surviving are a son, Dennis E., Jackson Township; daughter Jessie E. Wilcox, Corfu, NY; five grandchildren; six great-grand- children.
