Zampetti of Shavertown, was married Saturday, September 30, 1995, to Michael Brent Richards, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Richards of Dallas. Vows were exhcanged during a double-ring ceremony at St. Therese's Church, Shavertown. Rev. John O'Bell officiated. Readings were given by Mrs. Joyce Nelson, sister-in-law of the groom and Miss Erica Kuznicki, friend of the bride and groom. The bride is the granddaughter of Francis Zampetti and the late John Zampetti of Orange, NJ, and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Jandoli of West Orange, NJ. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Richards of Dallas and Mr. and Mrs. Toley Wilborn of Hartselle, Alabama. The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose her sister, Denise Zampetti as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dara Crispell, Michele Clemm, Julie Frederick and Karen Gibson. Greg Nelson, brother of the groom, served as best man. Grooms- men were William Janosky, R., Rocky Lopasky, Todd Weaver and Scott Shaver. Jordan Nelson, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer. The bride is a graduate of Lake-Lehman High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Bloomsburg University. She is employed by the Lake-Lehman school district. The groom is a graduate of Dallas High School. He is currently attending College Misericordia, pursuing a degree in occupationa; therapy. A spring honeymoon is planned in Orlando, Florida. College choral society seeks singers BACK MOUNTAIN BRIEFS Trucksville UM slates Lenten activities On Wednesday, Feb. 21, the Trucksville United Methodist Church will begin the Lenten Season with prayer and meditation during the day “on Ash Wednesday. An informal gathering for worship will begin that evening at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. During the Lenten season the members will be meeting on Thursday evenings to reflect on the primary task of the church. The first meeting will be held Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. The 1996 Confirmation Class will begin its 13 weeks of study on ‘March 3 at 4 p.m. in the educational facilities. Young people who are in the seventh grade or above may join the class. Church receives memorial donations On Sunday, January 28, during the Administrative Council meet- ing, the Trucksville United Methodist Church formally received the memorial gifts designated for the refurbishing of Fellowship Hall. The hall renovations were given by friends and family in memory of Gordon F. Roberts Sr. The stage curtain was given by Walter and Bette Truscott in memory of F. Gordon Mathers and Charlotte E. Mathers. Newcomers' Club slates activities The Newcomer's Club of Wyoming Valley welcomes anyone new to the area and provides activities for women, couples and their children throughout the year. General meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month. Upcoming activities for couples include a Games Night in February, Bowling and Pizza in March, a Wine Tasting Party in April and a Movie Night in May. The Precious Times Playgroup continues to meet weekly. Days and times vary and a monthly schedule is available upon request. A children's Easter party is also being planned for March.
