Area Burger King restaurants have teamed up with the Ameri- can Lung Association to promote the sale of Valentine Fun Pacs. The proceeds of these fun pacs will help support and fund asthma programs for area children, in- cluding Camp Wheeze-Away, the local lung association's overnight camp for children with asthma. Childhood asthma, a serious lung disease that causes difficulty in breathing, is so pervasive that it is a leading cause of school absenteeism. Locally, it is esti- mated that asthma afflicts more than 3,000 children in the Wyo- ming Valley. Throughout theyear, the American Lung Association provides asthma information di- rectly to schools and educational materials to children and their families.
