Na- ‘tional High School Cheerleading Championship, to be held at Disney - MGM Studios, Orlando, Florida. _~ The competition will be held, : 2 .Feb.8-13. This is the eighth year ‘that- a Dallas High School cheerleading squad will represent ‘their district at the national event. As part of the efforts to raise “the necessary funding, Pizza Hut, Memorial Highway in Dallas, will host the Dallas Cheerleaders on Superbowl Sunday from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. Pizza Hut has aided the squad in previous years by holding a “Dallas Cheerleader Day”. The cheerleaders will work as wait- resses and all tips that are col- lected will help to defray the cost of sending the team to Orlando. Everyone is invited to the Pizza Hut on Sunday, Feb. 4, to show their support for the cheerlead- ers. Seminary to hold Trustees' Scholarship exam Feb. 10 Area eighth- and ninth-grade students are encouraged to regis- ter for Wyoming Seminary's Trustee Achievement Scholarship exam, to be held Saturday, Feb- ruary 10 at the school’s Kingston campus. The Trustee Achievement Scholarship program now in its 15th year, recognizes leading stu- dents. Up to five scholarships will be awarded to students who com- bine outstanding performance on the competitive exam with a solid record of citizenship and achieve- ment. Registration for the exam will take place at 8:30 a.m. with the test administered at 9 a.m. Following the exam, school president H. Jeremy Packard will host a luncheon for students and their parents. Current Seminary students will conduct tours dur- ing the afternoon for prospective students and their parents, and admission representatives will meet with families.
