DOVE Post Staff DALLAS TOWNSHIP - Four female alternative education stu- dents attending classes taught by Gina Morrison at the former el- ementary school on Church Road have been charged through the Luzerne County juvenile authori- ties in connection with two dis- turbances January 11. A 15-year-old girl who is pres- ently on probation faces a felony charge of aggravated assault, mis- demeanor charges of simple as- sault and disorderly conduct and a summary citation for harrassment after assaulting two teachers. Police said the girl had been causing a disturbance during class and was walking around and using profanity. After she knocked materials from Morrison's desk, Morrison at- tempted to restrain her. The student knocked Morrison to the desk and punched her in the face before the pair rolled onto the floor. The girl then assaulted a male teacher who tried to help Morrison. Morrisonreceived medical care for a mouth injury. She was also hit in the head and had some of her hair pulled out, police said. “We have arrested this girl be- fore in connection with incidents at the school,” said investigating officer Jeff Dennis. a In a second incident, two. fe- male students threw their desks over and kicked them around, threw books onto the floor and used profanity, police said. : Teachers tried numerous times to stop them before calling police. The students have been charged with misdemeanor disorderly con- duct. In a third incident January 18, a girllocked herselfin a restroom, cursed and screamed, then left the restroom and threatened to shoot Morrison. - When Morrison attempted to restrain her, she kicked her sev- eral times. The girl also threw three large books through ‘three windows and kicked Mr. Dombroski, a male teacher who came into the room to, assist Morrison, several times.
