People wonder why we start our programs for the SAT so early. The reason is simple...it works. We begin in November for the Spring. Significant point gains on the SAT take time. Most other programs hustle students in and out of a eight or nine week program and send them on their way. We like to keep your kids ...they do better. We offer a structured, process approach to the SAT. Our students average 200 plus point gains, and are the best prepared for the test. We were the first to offer junior year programs... the first to offer free refreshers for subsequent SAT exams. Now we are the first to begin getting students ready for the Spring. The cost? Our fees are nearly 50% less than the competition, and they have no refreshers. And our fee remain the same no matter when you begin. A student preparing now for the Spring simply gets more preparation. It's the best deal in the valley, from the best test prepara- tion program in the area. Dallas Middle School's winning banner workers were, front row, Emily Fritz, Bethany Brown and Shana Baker; back row, Deirdre McLaughlin, John Bednarz, Matthew Eyet, Andrew George and Lindsay Carpenter. Middle School students fare well at Renaissance Faire Recently the gifted students from the Dallas Middle School attended the Renaissance Faire in Mt. Hope, PA and competed against other middle school pupils in various contests throughout the day. They won awards in every event that they entered. The aim of the heraldry contest was to design a banner reflecting the school's philosophy. The ban- ner was designed by the team of Matt Eyet, Shana Baker, Andrew George, John Bednarz, Lindsay Carpenter, Bethany Brown, Emily Fritz and Seth Yeager, placed sec- ond in the competition. In the costume competition Elizabeth Eby placed second in the peasant category. Norah Krak- osky, Morgan McOwen and Deirdre McLaughlin took second honors in the small group Madrigal perform- ance. Ken Bauer's Renaissance Faire poster took third place in the sixth grade division. The theater group, comprised of Deirdre McLaughlin, Bethany Brown and Michael Davies received special commendation for their perform- ance. Michael Davies and Norah Krak- osky were chosen to be the lord and lady of Dallas. They received their titles during a ceremony presided over by Queen Elizabeth I of England. Between competitions the stu- dents were able to view various re- enactments depicting aspects of medieval life. MERC % A student needs to succeed?
