Brinton has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of train- ing, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and customs and received special training in human relations. Airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Brinton is the son of Gary L. and Gail D. Brinton of Harveys Lake. He is a 1995 graduate of Dallas Senior High School. AIRMAN CORILEE BRINTON Hadsall starts Navy submarine duty * ‘Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Kyler R. Hadsall, son of Richard K. and Betty L. Hadsall of Route 2, Harveys Lake. recently reported for duty aboard the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land, homeported in Norfolk, VA. . Hadsall's new assignment reflects how Navy and Marine Corps men and women are assigned to ships, squadrons and shore commands around the world. Whether serving in the Persian Gulf near Iraq or in the Adriatic Sea near Bosnia, people like Hadsall are making a difference as they work to improve their knowledge and skill as part of the most highly technical naval force in history. ‘Hadsall joined the Navy in December, 1988. Pelak enlists in Air Force «Matthew R. Pelak, son of Richard and Barbara Pelak, of Dallas enlisted in the Air Force's Delayed Enlistment Program, according to Master Sgt. Jude Fritz, the local Air Force recruiter. Pelak, a senior at Dallas Area High School, will soon enlist into the regular Air Force. Upon graduation from a six-week basic training course at Lackland Air Force Base, near San Antonio, Texas, Pelak will receive technical training as a aircraft armament systems apprentice. Pelak will earn credits toward an associate degree in applied sciences through the Community College of the Air Force while attend- ing basic and technical training schools. Wetzel graduates from officers’ school Marine 2nd Lt. Jon R. Wetzel, a 1988 graduate of Dallas Senior High School, recently graduated from The Basic School. ‘During the course at Marine Corps Combat Development Com- mand, Quantico, VA, newly-commissioned officers are prepared for assignment to the Fleet Marine Force. . The course includes instruction on land navigation, marksmanship, tactics, military law, personnel administration, Marine Corps history and traditions, communications, and the techniques of military ip- struction. Officer candidates arg also taught leadership by example and the importance of teamwork and participate in a demanding physical conditioning program. ‘Wetzel joined the Marine Corps in December, 1994. He is a 1992 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, University Park with a BS degree.
