The Raiders C team lost a heart- . breaker to Dallas 14-8. The lone Raiders touchdown was made by Brian Ostrowski and the two point - conversion was made by Ed Grun- . dowski. Playing well for the de- ~ fense was Matt Brokenshire and Steve Rosencrans. Marty Murray . played well for the offense. The Raiders B team defeated the - Mini-Mounts with a total team effort to regain control of the tradi- tional football trophy that is passed between the teams. Quarterback Bobby Zaruta connected on touch- *. down passes to Jonathan Barbose and Jimmy Larson and rushed for another score to help lead the way - to the impressive 22-0 victory for ~. the Raiders. Luke Miller added to + the scoring with two 2-point con- + versions. Also turning in fine per- : .. LCCC tourney aids scholarship fund formances on offense were Brad Lothridge, Danny Piccillo, George Sprague, and Nick Mathewson. The A team of the Raiders once again walked away with the trophy |. as they defeated the Mini-Mounts 38-0. Scoring for the Raiders was Mike Sabol, Justin Tamanini, and Mike Regan. John James and Jeff Zaruta added to the score with two point conversions. In all it was a total team effort that contributed to the victory. The Raiders will be hosting the Plymouth Shawnee Indians on Sunday, September 10 at the Dal- las High School field. The Luzerne County Community College Foundation will hold its annual scholarship golf tournament - Medico Family Invitational October 2 at Fox Hill Country Club. : ~The tournament will be captain and crew format and will begin with brunchat 11 a.m. Play will begin at noon with a shotgun start.
