Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Ruth Curnow Swank. Aresident of Trucksville for the last 47 years, she was a 1941 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of the Fel- lowship Evangelical Free Church, Dallas, where she served as an adult bible fellowship leader. She ‘was also a member of the Presi- dent's Council of the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry, Luzerne County Prison. She also served as a volunteer in the Radiology Department of Wilkes-Barre Genera' Hospital and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Gideons Interna- tional. A former secretary for the for- mer’ Community Chest (now ‘United Way) Wilkes-Barre, she was also co-founder with her husband, Percy, of Love's Ther- ‘mal Systems Inc. of Wilkes-Barre, where she also worked as a secre- tary. She and her husband cele- brated their 50th wedding anni- versary on June 15. Surviving in addition to her husband, are a son, Richard D., Dallas; daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Nancy Carol) Miller, Trucksville; eight grandchildren. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Fel- lowship Evangelical Free Church, Hildebrandt Road, Dallas, Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton. She also graduated from Allied ~ Medical Careers, Edwardsville. She was employed by the Trails End Restaurant, Sweet Valley, for many years; the Penn General Store, Pikes Creek; and was employed as a medical secretary for the Pittston Medical Center She and her husband, Thomas G., were married on May 20, 1995. EDWARD RAVER Edward H. “Bunsy” Raver, of East Center Street, Shavertown, died Aug. 3, 1995, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Edwardsville, he was the son of the late Howard and Nancy Rusieski Raver. He was a resident of Kingston and New Brunswick, NJ, before moving to Shavertown 23 years ago. A 1954 graduate of Kingston High School, he was a member of St. Therese's Church, Shavertown and the Dallas American Legion Post 672. He worked at the Delco Battery Co., New Brunswick, for 18 years and was a caseworker for the Department of Public Assistance of Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard. Surviving are his wife, the for- mer Lorraine Walters; daughter, . Mrs. Jeffrey (Lisa) Andrews, Luzerne; son, Edward H. Jr. at home; two grandchildren; brother, William, Mount Clemens, MI. She also was a parent coun- selor with the Child Service Cen- ter for 10 years and was a past volunteer at the Meadows Nurs- ing Center. She and her husband, Ken- neth, celebrated their 43rd wed- ding anniversary on August 2.
