Born in Luzerne, he was the son of the late Jason and Lela Boston Lord. He had been a guest at Valley Crest, Wilkes-Barre Township for the past two years and previously he resided in Dallas for 16 years. Prior to his retirement, in 1989, he worked as a maintenance man for Offset Paperback Co. of Dallas for 14 years. He served with the United States Army during World War II, and was a member of Bennett Presbyterian Church of Luzerne and also belonged to the Graphic Communication International Union, Local #137. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne Lord; brothers, James E. and Edward S. Lord.
