Tickets are $5, which includes ‘admission to the game and tail- gate picnic of hot dogs and chips. ‘Those attending should bring their own beverages. Three-ring circus will set up at fairgrounds June 24 Circus Day, a tradition for two ‘hundred years across America, ‘will be kept alive in Dallas when ‘Roberts Bros. Three Ring Circus ‘Under the Big Top makes a stop ‘on its annual tour at the Luzerne ‘County Fairgrounds June 24 at 3 ‘p.m. Roberts Bros. Circus is a three : ‘ring production under a 200-foot ‘Big Top seating over 1500 people. ~The show consists of an all professional cast of aerialists, jugglers, clowns, acrobats, ani- ‘mal trainer, comedians, staff and 20 trained animals including Lisa, the Asian elephant, who is 26 years old and weighing around 7,000 Ib. A guided tour of the circus lot will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Children, senior citizen groups and the general public are wel- come to see the Big Top goup. The guide will take them to areas of the circus lot to meet the animals and receive answers to questions about circus life and operation. No prior notice is required, and this service is provided at no charge as a community service by the circus. Bazaar at Gate of Heaven June 23-25 Gate of Heaven's Bazaar will be held June 23-25 on the church grounds on Machell Avenue, Dallas, featuring food, games and enter- tainment. A couple of surprises await the visitors at the Dunk Tank. Roast beef supper at Sweet Valley June 24 ~The Sweet Valley Volunteer Fire Company will hold a Family Style Roast Beef Supper at the Sweet Valley Fire Hall, Main Road, Sweet Valley, June 24, from 5-7 p.m. with takeouts at 4:30 p.m. ~The menu consists of beef, mashed potatoes/gravy, corn, apple- sauce, pickled beets, rolls and butter, homemade pies and coffee or tea. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.25 for children. Awareness Day at Slocum Park Environmental Awareness Day will be held June 24 at Frances Slocum State park.
