6 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, May 24, 1995 Watchfire vigil May 28 will honor all POW's and MIA's At dusk on May 28 the Dallas American Legion will hold an all- night watchfire and vigil in honor of the POW’s and MIA's of all wars who have not returned to Ameri- can soil. Legion Commander Charney has asked all members of the legion to participate in the event to honor their comrades and remind people that many of their family and friends have not come back from the conflicts of the past, as a hope this will never happen to our country again. Charney reminds the public that anyone wishing to dispose of flags that are no longer in use may bring them to the legion for dis- posal with dignity and honor. Throughout the evening shel- ter will be provided and coffee and donuts will be served to all par- ticipants. A guard will be posted at the Watchfire all evening. ~ For more information contact the Dallas American Legion at 675-6542 or any member.
