Donations from participants are gratefully ac- cepted and needed in order to expand this program. The following menu is for the week of May 1. All meals include margarine, milk and coffee. Dallas 5th grade open house May 2 Anthony Martinelli, principal of the Dallas Middle School, has announced that an open house will be held for parents of fifth grade students., May 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. The purpose of the orientation meeting is to give parents of fifth- graders an overview of middle school programs, an opportunity to meet the guidance counselors and sixth grade teachers and to tour the building. This nonpartisan forum is presented to acquaint the public with each of the candidates representing the three regions within the school district and a discussion of relevant issues regarding the direction of education within the school district. Bradford Greeley as Guest Minster on April 23. Greeley is the parish minister of the Main Line Unitarian Church in Deven, PA, a congregation of over 600 members near Philadelphia. Jacquie Hollis, GFWC Harveys Lake earned a 1st place club member crafts award and will go on to district and to state competi- tions. The 17 GFWC Luzerne County Womens’ Clubs and Boscov's joined forces for Federation Day to benefit the Wyoming Valley Childrens As- sociation and raised more than $18,500. Fairgrounds storage closes for season The Luzerne Clunty Fair Board announces that all winter storage rentals at the Fair Grounds must be removed by April 29. The grounds have been rented out for spring, summer and early fall events.
