Michael announced his inten- tion at the board's regular Janu- ary 9 meeting after district resi- dent Marjorie Brown asked the board to consider placing paid adult monitors on school buses to make sure that students behave properly and follow all safety procedures. According to superintendent Gerald Wycallis, the district had considered adult bus monitors about 10 years ago, but had de- cided against hiring them because of the expense. Recruiting volunteer adult bus monitors wasn't successful, he will ride the bus The modulars will replace those being used at the Westmoreland Elementary School and will be mounted on permanent founda- tions under a roof canopy behind the building. DOVE Post Staff Harveys Lake resident and for- mer road department employee Glen Eagleton will appear before District Magistrate James Tupper Feb. 2 on charges of illegally tap- ing a conversation with a fellow employee. The hearing had been set for January 12, but was postponed. According to the arrest war- rant affadavit, filed November 10, 1994, Eagleton admitted to assis- tant police chief Ronald Spock that he had tape-recorded a con- versation withJames Bauer, with- out Bauer's knowlege or permis- sion.
