Bean Sr., 80, of Noxen died Dec. 28, 1994, at Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston, af- ter being stricken ill at home. Born in Noxen, he was a son of the late Velton and Ora Miller ~ Bean. He resided in Noxen for all of his life. He was employed by the Ar- mour Leather Co., Noxen, for 35 years. He was later employed by Procter & Gamble Co., Me- hoopany, before retiring 15 years ago. He graduated from Noxen High School and was a U.S. Navy vet- “s eran of World War IL He was a member of St. Luke's Reformation Lutheran Church, Noxen. He also was a member or the _ George M. Dallas Lodge 531 Free + and Accepted Masons, Dallas, the former Noxen's Lions Club and the 20 Limited Gun Club, Noxen. He and his wife the former Josephine Ellman, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary son Oct. 19, 1994. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry, who was killed in World War II. Surviving inaaddition to his wife, are twin sons, Elvin T. She was president, secretary and treasurer of the Sapphire Class of the church.
