He was employed as a parts manager and car salesman for Lester Pontiac, the Ertley Dealer- ship and Carpenter Pontiac. More recently he was employed as a truck driver by Follmers Truck- ing, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Dallas American Legion Post 672, the National Rifle Association and Teamsters Union Local 401. He attended the Jackson Town- ship Oakdale School and Harter High School, West Nanticoke, Plymouth Township. In 1946, he moved to the Wash- ington, D.C. area where he was a pressman with The Washington Post and the Star in Washington until he retired in 1981. ~He was a- World War II veteran, serving in the Army in North Af- rica and Italy. He was a member of Rock Creek Council of the Knights of Colum- bus and Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Kensington. He and his wife, the former Mildred Earl, would have cele- brated their 47th wedding anni- versary on Dec. 27.
