The stu- ‘dents pick countries and then i, conduct in-depth research on \' these countries for two months. ‘| They find foods people in their + countries eat, Christmas tradi- ,/ tions their countries practice and *, the clothes the citizens in their \! countries wear. Finally, the night arrives to ent. To end the International Dinmner, various groups present skits which portray Christmas traditions of their countries. Some sing carols in their country’s lan- guage, others play instruments or actout the Christmas feast. When the skits are finished, the audi- ence has a clear picture of Christ- mas around the world. The students enjoy this Eng- lish and history project. Danielle Pall who did Wales said, “The International Dinner was a lot of pays off for everybody because it was a lot of fun.” Sarah Roberts, who was also in the group, who did Wales said,” The International Dinner gives students a chance to experience cultures around the world.” After all the stomachs were full and the skits were completed, the students breathed a sigh of relief because all their hard work paid off. Some even felt sad to leave their adopted country and return to their old way of life. This was definitely an experience they will s, present all they have learned. never forget.
