Students donate kids' books to library Students from Mrs. Belles' and Mrs. Finnerty’s classes at the Lake-Lehman Middle Level Building recently presented the Back Mountain library with 10 children’s books. The students reviewed books donated by various publishers as part of their reading curriculum, then selected the ones they felt were the best. The 30-minute video relives the lake's early days with photos from the 1880's and 1890's, history from its discovery by Benjamin Harvey in 1781 up through the present day. The only continuous “video ride” on the original Han- son's Amusement Park Merry-Go- Round. It's a chance to dive into the past with sights, sounds and sto- ries that have lasting value for future generations. They now are being considered for the finalist level of competition for National Merit Scholarships.
