The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, November 23,1994 15 Air Force at Wilkes A seminar on Air Force ROTC scholarships and Air Force Acad- emy admission procedures will be held December 20 at 7 p.m. at the Stark Learning Center, Wilkes University. The seminar is open to all high school juniors interested in ap- plying for an Air Force ROTC scholarship or an Air Force Acad- emy congressional nomination. The seminar will also be open to high school seniors that are considering joining Air Force ROTC as college freshmen. Air Force ROTC and Air Force Academy cadets will be present to explain programs. Admission counselors will also go over application procedures. The Stark Learning Center is located at 150-180 South River Street, between Northampton and South Streets near downtown Wilkes-Barre. Seminary students honored for academic achievement Three Wyoming Seminary stu- dents from the Back Mountain were recently recognized for su- perior academic achievementby being. inducted into the school's chapter of the Cum Laude Soci- ety. Jessica Fried of Dallas, Eric Emanski of Shavertown and Jen- nifer Savage of Harveys Lake were inducted into the society at a recent assembly. The Cum Laude Society is a national honor society that recog- nizes academic excellence among independent-school students, who must have a junior-year average of at least 3.7 on a 4.0 scale, and have had no junior grade below a “C”. The Wyoming Seminary chap- ter, chartered in 1930, is com- posed of faculty, administrators, and students, who choose new members each year.
