Rebennack of Shavertown and Paul J. Starolis Jr., son of Paul J. and Susan Starolis Sr. of Wyoming, were united in marriage June 25 in the Shavertown United Methodist Church, Shavertown. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. James A. Wert and Msgr. Kevin O'Neill. The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose her sister, Dena R. Rebennack as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Susan Starolis, sister of the groom, Wendy Stritzinger and Sarah Armand as junior bridesmaid. Flower girl was Monica Armand. The groom chose best friend, Thomas Baseski as best man. Groomsmen were Joseph Molieto and John Oliver. An evening cocktail houir and dinner reception were held at Genetti's Hotel and Convention Center, Wilkes-Barre. The par- ents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Irem Temple Country Club, Dallas. She was also honored at a luncheon shower hosted by friend and neighbor, Mrs. Margaret Evans. The bride is a graduate of Dallas High School and Bloomsburg University. She is employed as a special education teacher for the Baltimore County School District, Baltimore, MD Stettler will receive Sem's highest service award ::* Wyoming Seminary's highest honor - the Distinguished Service Award - will be presented at a special ceremomy, November 4 to Seminary president emeritus Dr. Wallace F. Stettler of Dallas. Liva Weil Baker, Morgan R. “Dick” Jones and Stanley Nabi will also receive the award that day. Dr. Stettler is well-known to the Wyoming Valley, having served as president of Wyoming Semi- nary from 1967 to 1990. A native of Philadelphia, he holds a bachelor's degree from Dickinson College, a master’s degree from Drew Theological Seminary and honorary doctoral degrees from King's College, Col- lege Misericordia and Wilkes Univetsity. Before assuming the Seminary presidency, Stettler had a distin- guished career in the Methodist ministry. During his 23 year tenure at Seminary, he guided the school’s recovery from the 1972 Agnes flood, the curriculum and facili- ties were improved and expanded, and faculty development was made a major priority.
