Santos, 26, lives with his wife, a'Sharon Marie, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he is completing a doctorate of musical arts at the university of Michigan. He has won several prizes for his solo and orchestral composi- tions, most notably the BMI Young Composer Award in 1990. Since then, he has received a number of commissions for com- positions. Santos is also a concert pianist and vocalist, specializing in the performance of 20th century works and teaches private les- sons in composition, theory and piano. He is the son of Prof. Rosendo and Rev. Items left over from the annual summer auction were sold during the one- day event Sale of entertainment books to benefit area Make-a-Wish The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeastern Pennsylvania is offering a limited number of 1995 entertainment books for sale, featuring two-for-one offers atlocal restaurants, discounts to regional arts programs, sporting events and local and national hotel rates. Discounts are also provided for movie theaters, local attractions, airline tickets and car rentals. Make-A-Wish will receive 20 percent of each book sold. The local chapter's goal is to sell 500 books and raise enough money to help grant a wish to an area child suffering from a terminal illness or life-threatening medical condi- tion.
