He was the founder and chief executive officer of the PDM Co., - Inc., a local franchise of Burger King and Chili's Restaurants. He founded his first Burger King Restaurant in 1967 in Kingston. He was a former regional board member of the United Penn Bank, Dallas, and a former member of the National Advertising Advisory Board for Burger King Corp. He was a member of the Burger King Corp. Operations Council, the Burger King Corp. Marketing Council and the Burger King Li- censee Educational Group. He was awarded the Burger King Corp. Operations Excellence Award, Philadelphia region, and the Best Multi-Unit operator award for numerous years from the Burger King Corp. He was a member of the Shav- ertown United Methodist Church, Shavertown. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters, Kimetha Morris and Pamela Williams, both of Dallas, seven grandchildren. Born in Harveys Lake on April 29, 1899, he was a son of the late Frank and Sara Scott. Heresided in Dallas most of his life and lived with his wife, Jule, in Wyomissing for the past several years. He worked his way through Wyoming Seminary and Lehigh University and was a graduate mechanical engineer. In 1928 he founded Power Engineering Co., Wilkes-Barre, now located in Plains Township, which specialized in engineering and commercial installations of heating, air-conditioning and re- frigeration. He maintanied a long relation- ship as a distributor fo the Carrier Corp, retiring several years ago. He was a member of the Wilkes- Barre Rotary Club, Masonic Or- der and Irem Temple. He was also a former director of Northeastern National Bank.
