The artworks are all scenes familiar to those who reside in or travel through the Back Moun- tain. Each artist portrays a slightly different interpretation of the scenery in the Back Mountain and surrounding areas. Hand is best known for her watercolor, alkyds and ink draw- ings and her paintings are sold through several galleries in Maine and Hilton Head, South Carolina, Her plein air paintings, miniatures and other works are included in collections around the world. Hand is a nationally recognized artist who paints daily and teaches ~ fine art drawing and painting to children, teens, and adults in her private studio which she and her husband, Joseph, and daughter Heather Madeira, have operated in Dallas for nearly 20 years. Pawling, a fine arts graduate of © Wittenberg University, lives in New York City and is studying at the New York Art Students League. Her artwork is represented by several galleries in the Cayman ' Islands, and Sue Hand's Imagery. She is the daughter of Shep ~ and Corrine Pawling, Dallas. Hahn is an art director who has ° served as a substitute teacher for many area school distericts. She is currently teaching color and # design at Luzerne County Com- » munity College.
