MARSHALL Lori Ann Kuhar exchanges vows with Scott Marshall Lori Ann Kuhar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Kuhar, and Scott William Marshall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Marshall Jr., were united in marriage on May 7, 1994 at Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville. The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Joseph Ziobro and the Rev. James Wert. Scripture readings for the cere- mony were given by Dawn Kuhar, cousin of the bride. Program at- tendants were Lucia Marshall and Karen Parker. The bride chose her cousin, Nadine Blannett, as matron of honor and Colleen Miorelli as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathy Zoka, Kimberly Thompson and Roby Kuhar, cousin of the bride. The groom chose his brother, Eric Marshall, as best man. Groomsmen were John Mokychic, Christopher Fetterman, Mat- thew Andrasko and Christopher Kuhar, brother of the bride. An evening cocktail hour and reception was held in Genetti Hotel's Empress Ballroom, Wilkes-Barre. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom. The bride was given a shower by the mothers and bridesmaids in Genetti's Princess Ballroom. The bride and groom were honored at an engagement party hosted by the parents of the couple at the home of the bride's parents. Following a trip to Walt Disney world, the couple resides in Ee Township. : SON a ew Community Singers start season The New Community Singers Women's Choral Group, based in allas, announces the beginning of its new season. The group provides holiday musical entertainment for civic and ocial groups, nursing homes, long term care facilities, etc. Performances are held from the end of November to mid-December. Fair slates kids' and teens’ events The Luzerne County Fair will present its annual Kids and Teens events on the main stage Sept. 11 from noon until 3 p.m. Three-five year olds may join the costume parade to select a Fair Prince and Princess. A Little Princess event for 6-8 year old girls will also be held. An age division for 9-11 year olds will be a talent event to select a Junior Star. : The County Teen will be selected from among 12-15 year olds. These events are free of charge. College Choral Society starts rehearsals The College Misericordia Choral Society directed by Dr. John Curtis, has begun rehearsals for the fall season. This season's music will tell the Christmas story in a variety of different styles, from Baroque to spirituals. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings, 7-9:30 p.m. in Kennedy Lounge, Merrick Hall. Mozart Club installs Powell as president George Powell has been installed as president of the Mozart Club of Wilkes-Barre to serve a two year term of office. Nesbitt, a member of one of the region’s most prominent families, has been on the Advisory Board Penn State Wilkes-Barre for al- most 30 years. He and his wife, Caroline, have supported the campus generously in the past providing a laboratory in 1988 for the Center of Technology build- ng. This gift is the largest single gift ever received by Penn State @ | Wilkes-Barre. As support for the library, surveying and biomedical equipment technology programs, it may be used for such purposes as research, faculty and student scholarly travel, equipment, stu- dent scholarships and lecture- ships.
