Named King's assistant ® director of public relations Back Mountain resident Karen Rogowicz has been named assis- tant director of public relations and marketing at King’s College. Rogowicz served as associate director of public relations and publications, and director of community relations at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory ? school, Kingston, for the past five years. Prior to that she was promotion director at WBRE-TV 28, Wilkes- Barre. She currently is president of the board of directors of the Wyoming Valley Unit of the Ameri- can Cancer Society, a member of the United Way Communications’ Committee, the Great American Race public relations committee, and is an active community vol- unteer. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of Step By Step, and the Junior League of Wilkes- Barre and was a member of the advisory board to the Luzerne County Community College Con- ference Center. In 1991 Ms. Rogowicz was named Outstand- ing Alumna by the Leadership Wilkes-Barre Alumni Association. Graduates from specialist's course Air Force Airman Jamie Janosky has graduated {rom the satellite communications systems specialist course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss. Graduates learned the operation and repair of satellite communica- tions systems, security procedures, electronic principles. Included was appropriate operation, maintenance, and repair of space or satellite communications equipment. Janosky is the son of William C. and Donna Janosky of Terrace St., Dal'as. Running for the gold Dallas Middle School students recently participated in the Run For the Gold program, sponsored by Special Olympics. Students were required to obtain sponsors and run laps in order to raise money. Ms. Anne Seitz, physical education instructor coordinated the run.
