Award-winning dancers The dance group “Showstoppers” directed by Bob Oberst, owner of the Back Mountain Dance Studio of Dallas, recently competed at the Hazleton Funfest Competition for the Performing Arts at Genetti’s Best Western. They received first place awards in group tap and novelty and a second place trophy in lyrical. Showstoppers also attended the Eastern Performing Arts Talent Competion held at Mountain Laurel Resort in White Haven where they won a first place in group ethnic (a country western tap routine) and first place in pantomime. Fedrow is employee of the year Heritage House, an affiliate of Wyoming Valley Health Care System, recently named Shaver- town resident Josephine Fedrow “Employee of the Year”. At the award Fedrow received a $500 U.S. Savings Bond, a com- memorative plaque and a recog- nition letter from Executive Di- rector Alan Endler. An eight year Heritage House employee, Fedrow currently serves as an activities aide, assisting reisdents in leisure activities and as a patient liaison for the nurs- ing floor. Risboskin named dean at Misericordia John Risboskin, CPA of Forest City, has been appointed Dean of Financial and Administrative Af- fairs at College Misericordia. Risboskin joined Misericordia in June, 1989 as senior account- ant. He was appointed assistant comptroller in July, 1993 and became comptroller this past January. As chief financial officer, he will be responsible for the fiscal op- eration of the College. Before coming to Misericordia, he served as senior accountant at Parente, Randolph, Orlando, Carey & Associates in Wilkes- Barre.
