Antique, classic boat show May 28-29 The Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Association will hold a boat show at the Grotto Marina at Harveys Lake, May 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Chapter sponsors boat parades on Harveys Lake every summer, Siorkstops on restoring antique and classic boats, and a boat show on ‘Harveys Lake during the Memorial Day weekend. .Boat ownership is not necessary for membership. Register early for PSU summer programs A varied mixture of entertainment, educational fun, and sports is planned for the sixth season of Summer Youth Programs at Penn State Wilkes-Barre. The program begins July 5 and continues until August 5. The summer camp operates from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will provide classes and campus for young people grades kindergarten through 12. 'Fish for free' days June 4-5 The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has set the Common- wealth’s 1994 Fish-For-Free Days as June 4-5. No fishing license is required for anglers on this weekend, although all other regulations are in place. PR rvalienced anglers can use this weekend as an opportunity to introduce others to the basics of fishing while novice anglers who want to give the sport a try on their own can do so without having to make an investment in a fishing license. Farrell elected W.V. Torch Club president The Wyoming Valley Torch Club, at its meeting last Monday night in Boscov's Restaurant, elected Dallas resident Atty. William F. Farrell president, succeeding Prof. James P. Rodechko of Wilkes University. Others elected at the business meeting were George F. Ralston, vice president; Atty. George L. Fenner, Jr., treasurer; Karl F. Arbogast, Jr., D.D.S. secretary. Rodechko was elected to the Board of Directors. speaker of the evening was Dr. Robert M. Kerr. The principal Happy teeth Brownie Troop, 629 recently toured Dr. David H. Spring's dental office in Dallas to earn their Dental Badge. The girls learned about dental hygiene and toured the office, lab and operatory rooms.
