Church, Shavertown. The Mass was concelebrated by Monsignor Kevin P. O'Neill, pastor, and The Very Rev. Ralph Lee Martin, V.F., pastor of St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, Wilmington, Delaware. : The couple's daughter, Karla Penman Narkiewicz, was Cantor of Carrying the Offeratory gifts to the altar were the grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Ray. Mr. and Mrs. Ray renewed their vows, with the latter's brother, Father Matin, officiating, assisted by Monsignor O'Neill. The former Laura Catherine “Kaye” Martin, daughter of the late Harry L. and Nell Penman Jaynes Martin, Trucksville, and formerly of Connellsville and Albert L. Ray, son of the late Albert J. and Emily Gibbons Ray, Meridian, Mississippi, were married April 21, 1944 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Washington, D.C. where Mr. Ray was attending a specialized school for the U.S. Navy, prior to becoming a member or the original crew of the Aircraft Carrier, U.S.S. Randolph. Mrs. Ray was the Medical Librarian of the Eastern Dispensary and Casualty Hospital, Washington. Father Michael Farrell performed the ceremony. Attendants were Ellen Dawson, Washington and Charles Conley, Philadelphia. Mr. Ray is retired from the U.S. Navy and the State Correctional Institute at Dallas. Mrs. Ray is retired from Culbro Corporation, where she was the Supervisor of the Returned Merchandise Dept. They are the active members of the Back Mountain Senior Citi- zens Club, Shawnee Seniors of Plymouth, and the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees, in which both held offices. They are the parents of five children, Mrs. Edmund (Karla ¢ Penman) Narkiewicz, Dallas; Mrs. Frank (Paula Grace) Gelinas, Wyoming; Randall Kevin, Forkston; Barry Leon and Shawn Holbrook, Lisbon Falls, Maine. There are six grandchildren, Mindy Kay, Maura Lynne and Marielle Rae Narkiewicz; Karri-ane Ray, Maurissa Augusta Ray, and Nicholas Paul Gelinas. Jackson Township seeks grants for work on roads The supervisors announced at their regular May 2 meeting that the township has applied for a $10,000 state grant for shoulder and ditch work on Smiths Pond, Pine Tree and Salansky roads, and a $99,000 federal grant to rebuild Bonkotown Road and fin- ish work on Smiths Pond Road. An $8,401 proposal from Soft- ware Innovators of King of Prus- sia fora computer, printer, spread- sheet programs and training for everyone using the computer was accepted. The supervisors noted that the program will keep a running rec- ord of the budget, bills and all expenditures in each budgetary category.
