He formerly lived in Wayne for 12 years and also in Luzerne and at Harveys lake. Prior to retiring many years ago, he was involved with the sale of welding equipment and supplies. He was a Pennsylvania certified welder. He formerly served for 10 years in the Marine Corps, and was discharged as a staff sergeant. He was a past commandant of the George *R. Newitt Detachment of the Marine Corps League of Kingston. He formerly served as Pennsylvania State Commandant of the Marine Corps League and had served as the National Chief of the Marine Corps League, Devil Dogs. Involved in local Republican politics he ran unsuccessfully as a =scandidate for Congress. : He was a member of the Luzerne United Methodist Church. He was ~ also a life membr of the American Welding Society. He also belonged to Kingston Lodge 395, F&AM; Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg; and Irem Temple, Wilkes-Barre.
