DOVE Post Staff Shavertown resident Delroy Henson, 40, has been indicted on federal charges of selling firearms without a license, according to a press release issued by the U.S. Attorney General's office. Between December, 1991, and February, 1994, Henson allegedly sold more than 100 firearms with- out a license, the press release ‘said. He had acquired the firearms in Northeastern Pennsylvaniaand sold them in Balitmore, Mary- land, the release said. An indictment is a description of the charge against a defendant made by the grand jury and the U.S. attorney and is not evidence of an accused person's guilt. IfHenson is convicted of selling firearms without a license by a jury trial, he faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, according to the press release. The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in- vestigated the case, which will be prosecuted by Assistant U.S. At- torney Gordon Zubrod. Woman is charged with disorderly contact at school By GRACE R. DOVE Post Staff The mother of a Dallas High School student who has accused a teacher of assaulting her son now faces charges in connection with incidents which occurred at . the school March 28 and 29. Charges of disorderly conduct and harrassment have been filed with District Magistrate James Tupper against Laura Cibula, 41, of Harris Hill Road, Trucksville, according to Dallas Township police. Mrs. Cibula was involved in an incident with three teachers at the high school March 29, in which she is accused of becoming loud and disorderly and allegedly pushed one of them, police said. She has been charged with one count each of disorderly conduct and harassment. Cibula’s son, a student at the high school, is accused of threat- ening toshoot a teacher March 28 and hasbeen petitioned toLuzerne CountyJuvenile Courton a charge of making terroristic threats, po- lice said. Patrolman Robert Jolley inves- tigated the incident. Bomb scare at Misericordia College Misericordia students had the afternoon off when the administration building was evacuated because ofabomb scare March 30 shortly after 1 p.m. ~ A telephone call saying that a ~ bomb had been planted in the administration building had come into the offices at 1:09 p.m., ac- cording to Dallas Township police ~ chief Carl Miers. Campus security officers, Dal- las Township police and Dallas firefighters searched the building for two hours but didn't find evi- dence of any type of explosive device, said Gail Smallwood of the college's public relations depart- ment. Afternoon and evening classes were cancelled as a precautionary measure, Miers said. The college's offices were open March 31, but no classes were held because it was the first day of spring break.
