Born in Shavertown, June 17, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Azel Rodell and Mabel Hunter Kocher. She resided at Harveys Lake, Luzerne and Connecticut, prior to returning to Harveys Lake in 1971. She has resided in Trucksville since 1985. She was a member of the Idetown United Methodist Church. She was employed by the former Lame Duck Clothing Store, Trucksville, as a clerk. She was also employed by Encon, Fernbrook. He later attended the University of Scranton and St. Bonaventure's College (Christ the King Seminary). He completed his theological studies for the priesthood at St. Pius X. Seminary, Dalton and was ordained a priest by the Most Rev. J. «Carroll McCormick, D.D., former Bishop of iScranton in St. Peter's Cathedral, Scranton, ‘May 25, 1968. In June of 1982, he was appointed pastor of St. Frances X. Cabrini Church, Carverton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Judith. Surviving are a brother, Edward; several nieces and nephews. A 1945 graduate of St. Mary's High School, she entered the Sisters of Mercy at Dallas on Sept. 8, 1945.
