HAIR-RAISING - Hair sculpture artist Terry Niedzalek will present her unique workswith live models April 8-9 at Shakti Salon and College Misericordia's MacDonald art gallery. A hair-raising exhibit at Mac Donald Gallery Thinking about a new look for your hair? Then you may want to visit the Shakti Salon in Kingston or the MacDonald Art Gallery at College Misericordia this April, when hair sculpture artist Terry Niedzialek will create and display her trademark extraordinary hair sculptures. In this two-day live event, entitled “Hair Journey”, Niedzialek will use 10 to 12 live models and various wigs as her canvas. Her works will exhibit an environmental theme, using clay, wire, cement, paint, styrofoam, animal horns and antlers, and a variety of found objects. From 12-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 8-9, Niedzialek will create her sculptures at Shakti, followed by a reception and installation of the live hair sculptures at the MacDonald Art Gallery at 8 p.m. on April 9. Both the sculpture creation and ex- hibition are free and open to the public.
