She also was the runner-up in the bathing suit ' competition. The pageant was held recently at Montage Manor in Moosic spon- sored by the Gail Barbrie Model- ing Co. Francesca has studied classi- cal ballet with the Civic Dance Co. in Scranton and also does model- ing in the area. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francesco Stuppino of Dal- las and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stuppino, Plains and the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Dattilo of Old Forge. She is also the great granddaughter of Mrs. Grace Dattilo, Old Forge. Girl Scouts will honor two area Women of Distinction '* Penn's Woods Girl Scout Coun- cil will honor 11 women of Dis- tinction at a luncheon Saturday, March 26, at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Wilkes-Barre. These women have been nominated for their efforts in the performing arts and are from all areas of the Council. Also re-elected to a second-four year term were coun- cil members Sr. Martha Hanlon, RSM and Sr. Marie Francel D’An- drea, RSM. Newley elected coun- cil members were Sr. Catherine McGroarty, RSM, vice president and Sr. Mary Ellen Fuhrman, RSM. The Dallas Regional Commu- nity is one of 25 communities that make up the Institute of the Sis- ters of Mercy, a 7.000 member international organization of women religious.
