She graduated from Rhode Island State Police Academy in 1990, and is currently employed by the Rhode Island State Pollice as a Trooper. She is also a 1st Lt. in the Rhode Island Army National Guard, Military Police Division. Kershaw graduated in 1985 from East Greenwich Rhode Island High School and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Springfield College, Springfield, Mass. in 1989. He graduated in 1990 from the Rhode Island State Police Academy and is employed by the Rhode Island State Police as a Trooper. The second annual “Do It For The Kids” 5K (3.1 mile) Walk-A- Thon for Wyoming Valley Chil- dren's Association will be held on Sunday, April 17, in Kirby Park. All proceeds will be used by the Children's Association, a local United Way agency which is cele- brating 70 years of community service, to provide therapeutic programs and services to chil- dren who have disabilities. All walkers are asked to obtain raisers in the youth (up to age 15) and adult (age 16 and up) divi- sions will receive prizes. There will also be a team com- petition with three divisions (youth, high school/college, cor- porate).
