I think some coaches might try to sway their players to go to a big-time school but coach Jackson knew the emphasis I put on education.” According to Jackson, the Bulldogs are getting a valuable asset to their university on and off the field. ~ “Yaleis getting a fantastic player with a tremendous work ethic and character,” said Jackson, of his co-captain. “Greg is a super kid on and off the field. He was fun to coach because he's so intelligent. “Greg has the ability to play on any level,” Jackson added. “He dominated some great Division I prospects this year, kids who al- ready signed with schools like Penn State. Because of his God- given ability and work ethic, I think his potential is unlimited.” Nadzan, whose father died during his junior year, knows his dad would have been very proud of him. “I think he would be ecstatic,” Nadzan said. “I think he would be equally proud of me getting an Ivy League education or playing big- time college football on television. It's tough not having him here with us to enjoy this, but I know that somewhere up there he’s looking down on me and smiling.” It's been a storybook kind of year for Nadzan and his family. So what would be a happy end- ing? “I think a happy ending would include me getting an Ivy League championship ring and an Ivy League education,” concluded Nadzan. “It would also include making the Ivy League all-star team and maybe some kind of All- America team. And finally, maybe get looked at by a few professional football scouts and still get the chance to go to medical school.” And, as Nadzan can tell you, with a little hard work anything is possible.
