DOVE Post Staff Two fires in Trucksville within nine hours of one another kept Trucksville and Shavertown fire- fighters busy December 6. The first fire, shortly after 10:30 a.m., sent the Trucksville, Shav- ertown and Dallas fire companies to the Tomassetti residence at 79 South Pioneer Ave., where a downstairs bedroom had caught fire. Although the fire was contained in the bedroom, the rest of the house suffered smoke damage, according to Trucksville Fire Chief Brian Johnson. Traffic in both directions on South Pioneer Ave. was rerouted while firefighters set up a portable reservoir on the roadway. Johnson said that the cause of the fire was accidental electrical. No injuries were reported. Firefighters were callled to the Mike Yankovich residence at 69 Meadowcrest shortly after 7 p.m. for a fire started by a four-year- old child playing with a lighter in a closet, Johnson said. The entire apartment suffered heavy smoke damage, although the fire was limited to the closet, Johnson said.
