Christmas concert at Alderson Dec. 5 The Alderson United Methodist Church, Pole 108, Harveys Lake, presents the Orpheus Choral Society Christmas Concert December 5 at-7:30 p.m. at the church. Music for the Christmas season will include: “Let Us Celebrate,” “Sleigh Ride,” “A Holly Jolly Christmas," “Hallelujah Chorus” and more. Holiday quilt raffle The Harveys Lake Women's Club will be holding a quilt raffle on December 2. The quilt is homemade by the honorary members of the club. Thirty-three prize donated by various Back Mountain area stores will be raffled off. This money raised will help obtain more Christmas decorations that grace the entrance to Harveys Lake and to donate cheer baskets to the elderly over 70 years of age in the Harveys Lake area. ‘organized in 1919 and chartered Lehman Class of '43's 50th reunion The Class of 1943, Lehman High School held their:50th reunion at the Castle Inn, Dallas. Harveys Lake Protective Ass'n induction/social The Harveys Lake Protective Association recently held its elev- enth annual social, “Harvest Evening of Dining & Dancing”, honoring past presidents at Damien's Restaurant, Sunset Beach, Harveys Lake. Members and their guests en- joyed a cocktail and hor d'oeuvres hour, followed by a full course dinner featuring many entrees. Upon completion of the dinner, Dr Peter Kaminski, immediate past president, was presented with a plaque in recognition of his service to the association over the past year by the newly elected president Michael Shisko. At that time the new slate of officers for 1993-1994 was announced. The association was initially in 1920. At that time it consisted of ninety persons. The associa- tion then became dormant from 1973 until 1981 at which time a reorganization meeting was held and the club was reactivated. Present membership totals ap- proximately two hundred fami- lies. Following the presentation and annoucement of officers, music for listening and dancing was provided by “Premier”.
