Meet Me in St. Louis is based on the famous Judy Garland movie of the same name and boasts a tuneful score by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane, including such popular songs as “The Boy Next Door”, “Under the Bamboo Tree”, “The Trolley Song”, “Have Your- self A Merry Little Christmas”, and the title song. Principal characters include Jena Krakosky as Esther Smith, in love with the “boy next door”, John Truett, played by John Kennedy. Esther's sisters are played by Nora Krakosky, Sarah Houck, and Cathy Alaimo. Mr. and Mrs. Smith are played by E.T. Goman and Cindy Thomas; Eric C. Bailey plays their college- bound son, Lon; Michael Gallagher plays Grandpa, and Debbie Zehner plays the Smith's maid, Katie. Howard Smith, Jr. is cast as Douglas Moore, Rose's suitor. and Cynthia Millington is Douglas's cousin - Lucille Ballard. Townspeople of St. Louis are Bill Lipski, also portraying Dr. Bond; Bernie Ott, also playing Lucille’s cousin, James Ballard; Sarah Lipski, Devon Bishop, Ann Mermelstein, Debbie Kopec, Jennifer Starr, Tara Swanek, Kevin Costley and Ted Anderson. Directing and choreographing is Kevin Costley, Linda Houck is musical director, sets and lighting are by Michael Gallagher and costumes are by K.D. Love, assisted by Inez Williams. “Meet Me In St. Louis” opened on Friday, Nov. 26 with addi- tional performances Dec. 2 to 5, 9 to 12, and 16 to 18. Thursday through Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. the Music Box bar opens at 6 p.m. and a buffet dinner is served from 6:30 p.m. At Sunday matinees, the bar opens at 1:30 p.m., dinner is served at 2 p.m. and curtain is at 3:15 p.m. The special Holiday buffet includes roast turkey and all the trimmings, roast beef, fish, pasta with side dishes of potatoes, rice pilaf, vegetables, rolls and butter, salad, and dessert bar, coffee and tea.
