8 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, October 27, 1993 Scouts visit Coast Guard center TV newscaster will address Shavertown UMC group The Fellowship Club of the Shavertown United Methodist Church will hear Dawn Timme- ney, WBRE-TV news anchor and reporter, on Saturday evening, November 6th at 6:45 p.m. The regular meeting will be held in the newly remodeled social room and will begin with a covered dish din- ner followed by the special speaker. Miss Timmeney, who recently began co-anchoring the evening news program with Keith Martin on Channell 28, is a native of Newton Square, PA, a graduate of Emerson College, and a resident of White Haven. Before coming to Wilkes-Barre she worked as a news anchor at WFMZ-TV in Allentown. Those attending are asked to bring their own place settings for the meal. Boy Scout Troop 693 of Harveys Lake visited the Cape May Coast Guard Training Center on October 9 and 10 while on a deep sea fishing trip. The boys dined with the cadets during their stay and got a taste of what life in the Coast Guard is like.
