16 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA ‘Obituaries s ® : NAOMI ASHBURNER : Naomi M. Ashburner, 87, of Tunkhannock Highway, Kunkle, died Oct. 19, 1993 at Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston. . A lifelong resident of Kunkle, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Mary oover Kunkle. She was a graduate of King- ston High School. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a cafeteria worker in Dallas schools and also served as a domestic in the Dallas area. . She was a member of the Kunkle United Methodist Church, and both its W.S.C.S. and the Silver Leaf. She was also a member of the former Daughters of America. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph R., November 1973. Surviving are sons, W. Robert, Manville, NJ; Nelson J., at home; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. SAMUEL PAULETTI Samuel Querrino Pauletti, 79, of Chase Road, Shavertown, died Oct. 22, 1993, at Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston. Born in Sheatown, he was the son of the late Anthony and Celeste Pauletti. He resided in Nanticoke area for most of his life, prior to moving to Shavertown, where he was a mem- ber of St. Therese's Church. He was self-employed as an electrician for many years, and at the same time was an ‘electrical department instructor at Nanticoke Area High School District, Meyers High School and the Wilkes-Barre Vocational-Technical School, Plains Township, retiring 17 years ago. He was also a member of the Pennsylvania State Teachers Association. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was s member of the American Legion Post 350, Nanticoke. * He was preceded in death by brothers, Anthony and Peter. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Borofski; son, Joseph, San Bernardino, Calif.; daughter, Mrs. John Joseph (Mary) Wilkes Sr., Shavertown; two grandchildren; brother, Tho- mas, MD; sisters, Mrs. Mary Gabriel, Harri- son, NY; Mrs. Minnie Mazzoni, Mocanaqua; several nieces and nephews. Born in Dallas, he was the son of the late Milton and Dorothy Jacobs Perrego. He for- merly resided in Lehman. He was a graduate of Kingston Township High School. He was self-employed as a carpenter. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and Lehman United Meth- odist Church. --He was preceded -in-death-by a brother, Howard. Surviving are his wife, the former Karen Rogers; son, Alan, at home; daughters, Bon- nie, Beaumont; Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Crane, Dallas; brother, Elliot, Harveys Lake; four grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews. McGuire, 85, formerly of Pringle and Trucksville, died Oct. 21, 1993 in Dor- rance Manor, Kingston, where he had been a guest for the past five years. Born in Pringle, he was the son of the late William and Mary Jane Burns McGuire. He attended Pringle borough schools. A railroader for most of his life, he had been associated with the former D.L.&W. Railroad and later with the Erie Lackawanna Railroad, retiring in 1962. He was a member of St. Therese's Church, Shavertown. Active with senior citizens groups, he was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and St. Therese’s Senior Citizens. He was also a member and former spokesman for the Dallas Senior Citizens and was a member of Dallas Senior Citizens Bow]- ing League. He was a frequent visitor at Mercy Center, Dallas, for many years. . Surviving are his daughter, Patricia McGuire, Kingston; one granddaughter, Helena Hutsko, Dallas; stepdaughter, Mrs. Andrew (Betty) Libby, Tampa, Fla.; sister, Mrs. George (Irene) Gansz, Glenside; several nieces and nephews. Interment, St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle. LES YOUELLS Les L. “Sonny” Youells, of Meadowcrest Drive, Trucksville, died Oct. 19, 1993 at Wilkes- Barre General Hospital, where he was a pa- tient for four days. Born in West Pittston, he was the son of the late Leslie L. and Catherine Shannon Youells. He resided in West Wyoming and Harding for several years before moving to Trucksville six years ago. He was a partner in the L&L Upholsterers Co., West Wyoming, until retiring.
