This year, Wilkes-Barre Gen- eral Hospital's Auxiliary is cele- brating the 25th anniversary of the Starlight Ball, which will fea- ture a drawing for separate prizes of $10,000, $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 in cash. Tickets are $100 per chance and are available in the Hospitality Shoppe on General's main floor or from any auxiliary member. Sales will be limited to 350 tickets. Back Mountain Seniors plan October activities Irene Katyl, president, brought the monthly Back Mountain Sen- ior Citizens meeting to order. Reports were submitted by Sophie Kapral, recording secretary; Joseph Baltrushes, treasurer, who also gave the membership report in the absence of Ethel Baltrushes, chairlady of membership. Lillian Soveroski, whose project of making sleeping bags for the homeless, reported the bags are needed for the winter and urges members and friends to come to ‘St. Therese’s Hall, at 11 a.m. the first and third Thursdays of each month to assist her in this worth- while project. Lillian also asks that members bring food for Thnaksgiving baskets to the No- vember meetings. Members observing birthdays in October are Helen Misson, Dot Fisk, Joseph Balavage, Joseph Baltrushes, Joseph Precone, Mar- gie O'Hara and Ann Spaciano. ! . Nicholas Pericci, chairman, reported the annual Halloween party will be held Thursday, Oct. 21, starting at noon.
