Back Mountain Dance Studio adds gymnastics The Back Mountain Dance Studio isn't simply a place where kids learn how to dance. Thanks to an innovative new program, they can now also learn basic gymnastics. The award-winning studio has added an acrobatics team, sched- uled for its first competition at the Mountain Laurel Resort in White Haven in April, 1994, according to owner Bob Oberst. “The students learn more about movement, coordination and working together in beginning and advanced classes in basic tum- bling, balance beam and other exercises. While the studio accepts dance students as young as three years old, gymnastics students must be at least four years old, so that their bodies have an additional year to develop, Oberst said.
